Be a Local Tourist and Visit the Silicon Valley’s Great Outdoors

When family comes from out of town for a visit and they ask you, “Have you been to…?” What do you say?  Isn’t it crazy that you have to admit, “No, I haven’t taken the time to go there yet”?  It’s sad that Silicon Valley residents often neglect the attractions around them because they’re too busy with life.

To encourage people to take time for a great summer vacation this year, we’re sharing four summer vacation themes.  (After you’ve read them all, please go back and vote which theme you like best by hitting the “like” button.)

Today’s summer vacation theme gives you the chance to discover some treasures right in your own backyard that will really make you feel rested and refreshed. Make it your goal to visit as many of these gardens, parks or trails nearby and let us know what you think of them.  If you have a favorite that’s not on this list, let us know about it.

Alum Rock Park, East San Jose
Bay Area Ridge Trail, San Francisco Bay Area
Belgatos Park connecting Heintz, and Santa Rosa Open Spaces, Los Gatos
Big Basin Redwoods State Park, Santa Cruz Mountains
Castle Rock State Park, Santa Cruz Mountains
Hakone Gardens, Saratoga
Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, Santa Cruz Mountains
Japanese Friendship Garden at Kelley Park in south-central San Jose
Kelley Park, San Jose
Lake Cunningham, East San Jose
Overfelt Gardens, East San Jose
Shoreline Park, Mountain View
Stevens Creek Trail, Cupertino, Sunnyvale and Mountain View
Vasona Park, Los Gatos

Rather than say you’re too busy to enjoy going places this year, why not simplify your life so you can have a great vacation with your children.  If you live in the Silicon Valley, ask us at Simplify Home Solutions how we can take some of your to-dos off your hands, so you’ll have more time for things that really matter.

If you’re visiting the Silicon Valley for the first time, give us a call at Simplify Home Solutions, and we’ll make your traveling arrangements for you.  Together we can create a great summertime Silicon Valley vacation for you and your family.
