How to Create More Hours in Your Day

Do you ever feel like you need more hours in the day? Was your day so jammed packed that there is not even a moment to breathe?

Especially if you’re a working mother, like me, it’s a challenge to juggle work and family without feeling like you are squeezing every second out of every day. You might have days where you rush from one place to the next and then fall into bed feeling exhausted and frustrated that you haven't accomplished everything that you wanted to.

If you find yourself relating to these frustrations, the first thing you need to do is to
figure out exactly how you are spending your time. Many times we don't realize that we have more time than we thought, we just may not be prioritizing it correctly. Write down what the essentials and the nonessentials in your life are. Try to see where you are spending the majority of your time and see what you are able to either eliminate or minimize.

After seeing where your time is going,
identify if there are things in your schedule that you could delegate to someone else. A lot of times, women like to think we can do it all, but it is okay to ask for help. Could you delegate responsibilities to your partner, your child, or an assistant? Would outsourcing help?

Keeping organized is also vital. Taking some time to organize common problem areas not only saves time, but also money and stress while increasing your productivity! If organizing is not your strong suit, consider hiring a professional organizer. They will be able to help you purge, organize, streamline and implement organizational systems.

It’s also important to keep in mind that life is busy and you may never be able to feel
completely caught up on everything. Cut yourself some slack and remember that you are only human. Be sure to schedule some time for you! If you don't take care of yourself, how can you take of others?

And remember to contact us if are looking for ways to
Simplify your busy schedule – we can help.
