Easter Activities in Silicon Valley


Easter has once again snuck up on us!  A sure-fire sign that spring is indeed here (along with the pollen for us allergy sufferers), Easter is one big hoopla for kids.  From the Easter egg hunts to the parades to the festivals, here's a run-down of local Silicon Valley events on Easter weekend.

Saturday April 3rd

Campbell Eggstravaganza 9:00 - 11:00 am, Free
Campbell Community Center, 1 West Campbell Avenue
Festivities will include face painting, fingernail painting, crazy hair painting, temporary Easter tattoos, music, dancing, prizes, jump houses, and pictures with the Eggstravaganza Bunny. Coffee and donuts will be sold to bleary-eyes parents. Don't forget the baskets because the egg and candy hunt begins on the Athletic Fields at 10:30 am!  And mosey on downtown for the 12th Annual Bunnies & Bonnets parade starting at 12:00 pm.

Santa Clara Easter Egg Hunt 9:00 am-11:00 am, Free
Santa Clara Central Park, 909 Kiely Boulevard
The 35th Easter egg hunt will begin promptly at 10:00 am, rain or shine, with divisions for ages 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and special needs. Parking is limited; you are encouraged to arrive early and take part in the pre-hunt activities that will start at 9:00 am. Spring Activities include: Meeting the Easter Bunny, Face Painting, Easter Baskets, Children Game Booths and Refreshments.

Menlo Park Easter Egg Hunt 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, Free
Burgess Park, 701 Laurel Street
Festivities include an egg hunt for children ages 2-8, Jelly Bean Guess, Crafts, a visit with the Bunny, Bounce House, and Firetruck Rides on Old Tom.

Sunday April 4th

Spring Celebration & Easter Parade, 10:00 am-5:00 pm, Free
Union Street, San Francisco (from Gough to Fillmore)
A variety of children's and family activities are the focus of the event and include: large inflatable bounces, kids' rides and games, a climbing wall, a hands-on children's activities area, costumed characters, a petting zoo, a pony ride and entertainment from some of the Bay Area's best musicians. Parade begins at 2:00 pm.
