Local Easter Events

Can you believe that Easter is right around the corner? I love Easter - it's a sign that spring has officially sprung, the kids look so cute in their "Sunday best" & a good Easter egg hunt is always fun. Here is a list of local Easter events, courtesy of celebrate-family.com:

Saturday April 11

Campbell Eggstravaganza 9:00 am - 11:00 am, Free
Campbell Community Center, 1 West Campbell Avenue, 408-866-2769
Festivities begin at 9:00 am. and will include face painting, fingernail painting, games, arts and crafts activities, a jump house, music and dancing, and pictures with the Eggstravaganza Bunny. Coffee, water, and donuts will be sold to bleary-eyes parents beginning at 8:30 am. The egg and candy hunt will begin on the Athletic Fields at 10:30 a.m. SHARP. Please bring a bag or basket for your child. Thousands of plastic colored eggs will be sprinkled throughout the lawn! And, don't forget the 12th Annual Bunnies and Bonnets Parade & Kids Fair at 12:00 pm.

Menlo Park Easter Egg Hunt 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, Free
Burgess Park, 701 Laurel Street, 650.330.2200
The Bunny visits Burgess Park with toys and candy filled eggs for girls and boys ages 8 and under. The festivities start at 10 a.m. with bounce houses, crafts, and pictures with the Bunny. Activities are co-sponsored by the Menlo Park Fire District.

Santa Clara Easter Egg Hunt, 9:00 am-12:00 pm, Free
Santa Clara Central Park, 909 Kiely Boulevard, (408) 615-3140
The 35th Easter egg hunt will begin promptly at 10:00 am, rain or shine, with divisions for ages 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and special needs. Parking is limited; you are encouraged to arrive early and take part in the pre-hunt activities that will start at 9:00 am. Spring Activities include: Meeting the Easter Bunny, Face Painting, Easter Baskets, 4-H Petting Zoo, Children Game Booths, Santa Clara Police Department, Refreshments.

Sunday April 12

Spring Celebration & Easter Parade, 10:00 am-5:00 pm, Free
Union Street, San Francisco (from Gough to Fillmore)
A variety of children's and family activities are the focus of the event and include: large inflatable bounces, kids' rides and games, a climbing wall, a hands-on children's activities area, costumed characters, a petting zoo, a pony ride and entertainment from some of the Bay Area's best musicians. Parade begins at 2:00 pm.
