Momma Zen: Finding Peace and Patience in the Everyday

The Ninth Annual Mothers Symposium at Stanford University is happening on Saturday March 7, 2009 from 9:30-12:00 (breakfast at 8:30). This year's topic is "MommaZen: Finding Peace and Patience in the Everyday." I know I can certainly use some "MommaZen!"

The 9th Mothers Symposium: Momma Zen: Finding Peace and Patience in the Everyday will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Cubberley Auditorium on the Stanford campus. This year's speaker, Karen Maezen Miller is the author of Momma Zen: Walking the Crooked Path of Motherhood. A Zen Buddhist priest, wife and mother, Ms. Miller will show each of us how Zen insights resolve everyday parenting dilemmas, conflicts and fears.

Nancy Beckman will also play the shakuhachi, the Japanese bamboo flute during the event
