More on BPA-free sippy cups

Since my last post, I've been researching non-plastic & plastic BPA-free sippy cups for my 7 month old. We currently have a Foogo sippy & BornFree sippys. But, as I mentioned previously, the Foogo sippy is frustrating because of the many parts and the lining it up just right (otherwise it spills all over my purse!) The BornFrees are OK, but they also leak and again, there are too many parts for me. And, my 7 month old doesn't seem to have a preference yet - he's just happy to chew on the spout. I'm not even sure if he gets any of the water out of these cups, except for when they leak.

After doing some more research, I ordered the ThinkBaby training cup & the Nurture Pure Grow Pure Multi-Stage Feeder & Sippy Cup. The Nurture Pure cup is interesting because it comes with 3 different tops to grow with your kid - a nipple, a sippy & a straw. But, both look like they satisfy my criteria of not having too many darn parts! We'll see...

I'm also interested in the Safe Sippy, but every online retailer seems to be out of them. Also, after reading zrecs' review of them, I'm not sure about the straw angle & ease of use for a 7 month old. The Boon Fluid cup also *looks* nice, but frankly, I just don't know how I would even clean it!

Lastly, I will just say that I really want to like the Kleen Kanteen, but I just can't stand the squeaky cap. Even the plastic caps for the sippy spout squeak against the stainless steel bottle.

I know all the mainstream brands are moving away from BPA, but I think it's just too confusing for me right now to keep track of which brand and then which cups are BPA-free (although the Z Report on BPA does a good job of sorting this mess out!)
